Our bt digital monitor has packed up after just 14 months. DP is king of gadgets and interested in replacing it with a video monitor. Have you used one? Would you recommend it?

We bought one on other peoples advice & found that the static meant it was too noisy to use. I spoke to the two people that recommended it, one said "OOOh you will be sooo tired you will sleep right through that" err no I don't think so and the other one said that yes it was a problem but then they moved house and it was ok ,ahem.

Give it a go but get it from somewhere reputable so if it does have static problems you can bring it back. Annoying as I would love one so we could see him all the time and keep it hidden in his room and spy on him when he gets older, heh heh heh.

we had one that was connected via a wire so static wasn't a problem. We used it on the television in the sitting room and never needed to move it around.
Unfortunately the cat scratched through the wire one night so dh needs to repair it before the next baby comes.

Thank you so much for your experiences. And oh blimey well DP has since found out that our wireless netw ork will cause interference as its on the same frequency and he can't be bothered changing the frequency (aka it can be done but doesn't know how). Soooooo, is now threatening to webcam ds's bedroom onto a private site we have so we can watch it on the net on the telly.

Your head spinning? Mine was. So I've ordered a new tomy digital monitor on the quiet. Will arrive tomorrow
