BATH TAPS for orginal cast iron bath...

... the taps currently on our bath are old fashioned ones which come out of the bath's wall (rather than being perched on the roll-top bit)...ideally I'd like to replace them - does anyone know where you might get something suitable or whether it's possible to run new taps up outside the actual bath (it's freestanding,Victorian) -with a shower attachment ?? probably sounds a bit confusing!

Depends on the look you want and of course the cash, but yes, there are some v. v. stylish taps which come up out of the floor on a nice stalk and perch at the bath's edge hanging, tantalysing, over the rim... Also there is same stalk but with isolated taps. And yes, you can get the rim drilled and taps monted. Possibly consider positioning in the middle so two can enjoy it if there's enough space.

Vola is one of the high end brands to check out.

Find a high-end bathroom specialist who can suggest a few products - you don't need to buy of course, but they'll be in the best position to advise on the 'universe of possibles'.

It's possible what you are looking for are globe taps. I got mine from www.tapstore.net or try a search on google.
