I've bought two from Argos/Homebase. £289 each, white pine, put them together myself. Very good quality and instructions.

Mid-sleeper with bookcase and cupboard with drawers and a fantastic desk that is attached, folds in for storage and pulls out to a proper sized desk, also with shelves.

A great buy.

We have just got DD this bed from MFI. Bed was £109 and came within 2 weeks. We didn't put the two cupboard doors on though - left it open and DD has pink flowery boxes on there with her Barbie and Polly Pocket stuff in them. And we changed the handles of the 3 drawers - we bought some hand painted pink and pretty ones for £3.50 each to jazz it up.

I made myself one day. It's only a 2 foot 6 bed though, which I discovered when I went to put our 3 foot mattress on!

There are 3 drawers, a pull out desk and a cupboard with shelf.

You could have more storage under the bed too. When you pull out the desk fully, half of the bed width, behind the cupboard/drawers, is all open - so long as you can crawl under.
