I'm moving back to the UK and need to get a phone & broadband line set up. Any recommendations?
I don't have cable or satellte, so that's not an option.

Is it best to get it as a package, e.g. through BT?
How mcuh should I expect it to cost?
Is broadband reliable?
Any other cheap options (not dial up)?

mamama - Zen is brilliant for broadband - excellent reliability and speed would highly recommend it. However, you will still need to use BT for the line because of the monopoly they have on the lines. Their cheapest subscription used to be 11.99 a month. May have changed this was form a year ago. There a different Zen subscriptions ours was 24.99 a month. www.zen.co.uk for more info.

Oh wow - thanks so much for all that info. Feel very lazy as I could probably have found that all out myself had I looked hard enough. Really appreciate the help!

virgin and orange - get a certain phone tarrif and broadband is free. unfortunately, if you download movies a lot you have download limits.

I would reccomend Virgin - have been with them for years and it's a very reliable service. Remember with internet connections cheapest is not always best. There has been a bit of a price war over the last few months and some of the providers can not meet the demand.
