Bath Mat vs Bath Seat

I'm looking for something to help my baby in the bath while visiting family. We visit maybe five times a year. She's 6mo and next time we visit she'll be 7mo. I was thinking of getting a bath chair but it says only for up to 12months and she'll only be there about twice before she turns one. Will a non stick bath mat be ok? I wouldn't be leaving her alone at all.

We have used a non slip mat since DD could sit up unaided. Obviously we're always with her when she's in the bath. She's 11 months now and think she'd hate being constrained by a seat.

IKEA do a brilliant crocodile bath matt that is nearly the length of a bath , as long as she is sitting up well and you have a guiding hand on her I can't see the need for a bath seat , plus it rolls up to nothing!

I had a bath mat that had a seat combined. It was ace.

Thanks. I'm getting the crocodile mat. It'll appeal to my wonderfully childish df who's house it'll be living in.
