... tell me about yours and help me make the right decision for buying a new one. I've had a Dyson in the past but didn't like it. The one I've just killed is a Samsung one, a gift from parents, it was quite good so might get another. I'm v.tough on my vacuums we have carpet, wood and stone flooring, four dirty boys and a tree surgeon who comes home leaking sawdust everynight.

Miele! Had one a few months now and its the vacuum cleaner I always dreamed of! Golly that sounds sad.

Got to try out lots at the electrical shop and the man swore by them for allergies and asthma and its true, suction doesn't reduce and dust levels have dropped in the house big time. We have fluffy cats so its a challenge to all vacs here, this one wins by far.

did anyone see the russel brand show on tuesday? you would never look at henry the same way

MegaLegs · 28/09/2006 20:59

Uhoh - what did he do or is it best not to know?

Henry. Builders use them for hoovering up rubble, cleaners in schools use them, so must be tough enough for the rest of us.

Dyson are pants.

MegaLegs · 28/09/2006 21:12

My dh can get me one of these from his chainsaw suppliers. Practical but not very pretty is it?

I love Henry, you can even get him with a beater bar, for your carpets.

We have a bosch, which has held up very well to daily usage.
