Has anyone used Kitchens Direct?

I'm not sure I've ever heard of a kitchen company that someone didn;t have a horror story about, how about this company?

Don;t use anything direct for such a bit job you need a small outlet who cares and will miss the money if they fuck up and it goes wrong - and one you can go in to the shop/office and scream and shout - something you can't do with kitchens direct!!!

Friend (said in the loosest term) ended up in arbitration with them because they made such a fuck up of her kitchen!!!

We had them come and quote when we wanted to completely re-do our kitchen. They were very pushy and came in with the most expensive quote.

In the end, we ordered all the units direct from the supplier and employed a small, local builder to do the work - which was just as well as the kitchen proved more problematic than envisaged. A bespoke kitchen company would not have dealt with any problems which emerged as they were fitting the kitchen, so it might be worth contacting a local builder and asking him to organise the whole thing.

We did similar to Freckle - it worked out a bit cheaper too.

Used a builder we knew and knew we could trust. Got units from B&Q in the end I think (after looking round several places) and builder installed them. Very happy with the result.

a freind of mine is doing ours using a wentworth kitchen he has organised the builder and the granite fitters and he wouldnt recommend using the big kitchen firms as they tend to care less when things go wrong

Yes that was my suspicion - they basically cold called me (although I had visited their website and requested a brochure), and they seemed pushy.

I have honestly never heard a positive story about one of the big kitchen companies.
