PS2 vs. PSP vs. Nintendo (or similar)

A friend has promised her DS (5) a PSP for Xmas but has been told that not all Playstation games are released on PSP. So she thought maybe PS2. But wsa informed taht PS3 will be released soon.

I suggested NintendoDS (not for any reason other than DS wants one!) - he's not getting one just yet as he has a PS2 and a Leapster.

Any suggestions??

ps3 will be approx £450

I wold get a ds lite at taht age

I don't think the PS3 will be out in Europe before Xmas any way so her main concern is that the PS2 would be obsolete fairly soon.

Does anyone know if it is true that only certain games are released on PSP??

I have justgot DS a ps2 and he loves it.

it is also much cheaper than the alternatives as you can get the old ps1 games which are now sold off really cheaply (i bought a box of about 40 games at the local car boot for £10)

the DS lite is fab though.

go for the ds. it plays all the ds games and the old gameboy advance ones too, it is excellent. lots of kid friendly ones too.
