Swing set or climbing frame

Hello

I'm going round in circles trying it decide what to get so can anyone recommend what might work for us please?

We have a tp challenger metal frame climbing frame at the mo, but DD who will be 7 soon already looks too big on it. When we moved into our house we inherited a wooden climbing frame with swing, trapeze and a missing thing and my kids love it. Unfortunately, it rocks loads and was told recently by a tree surgeon that it was dangerous as the wood was rotting so the kids don't play on it anymore.

So I'm trying to decide what to do to replace it.

Wooden swing sets seem to go to age 12 so should I get one of those with 2 swings and a glider? Or should I go for a whole climbing with a swing attachment and get rid of the metal one?

If you have one do you kids use the climbing bit as they get older? I can see my dc using it, but DP isn't so convinced.

So I'm looking for advice on what to do.

Also looking for recommendations that will work now with Dc's nearly 5 and 7 but will last them a few yrs to age 12.

Many thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations.

I'd say a climbing frame. I played on mine all the time until we moved house age 11 and left it there :(

You can always add a stand alone swing later

Climbing frame. DS age 10 & friend were on ours last night. It has a rope swing as well as one 'proper' swing. They also use the frame for basket ball style shoots. I think it allows for more imaginative/collaborative play.

I should have said I have about £500 for this. Maybe slightly more if that is unrealistic.

To thankyou both.

I,m thinking a climbing frame with a swing option too, but know that the price will go up.

What make do you have?
