X-box or X-box 360

DH has hinted that he'd like an X-Box type thing. It's his birthday in a couple of months so I was going to maybe get one for him. Can someone explain the ins and outs of these games consoles. He has an N64 but there my interest ends.

Or should I ignore him and buy a PS2.

XBox 360 is the next generation of gaming from the XBox - far snazzier features, and it plays XBox games as well as 360 games. TBH if he's only got an N64 atm, the old XBox is going to look pretty damn fine anyway

The real question is what are you prepared to pay?

An original X Box is going in Argos for around £90, whilst a 360 is around £280 (that's a full system btw with hard drive etc)

Most games are out on XBOx and PS2, but there are a few that are only one one or the other of the formats. If your DH asked for the XBox, then I'd assume it was for a specific reason. We've got both and I think there are pluses and minuses for both systems.

Anyway HTH!

I think he saw it in a catalogue and thought 'mmmmmm shiney with buttons to push'.

Might just go with the x-box. I'm skint so the best part of £300 is a bit much.

Thanks.
