Why should I buy a Pliko Pramette?

Help! I live in a central city apartment with two lifts, one service lift from the ground floor (width 51cm/20 inches) - the other lift is unusable with a buggy/pram as it is from the first floor up a staircase - although it is wider... anyway I have a 4 year old and am expecting a new arrival in the new year. Unfortunately my 4 year olds buggy was stolen - so I am looking at what I need and a friend has recommended the Pilko Pramette. I am just not convinced I was thinking more a Macclaren Techno. I don't need the whole travel system thing as we already have a baby car seat and I also need something fairly small (for the lift) and getting around in central city and last time I managed with a sling for the first 2-3 months -any advice welcome!

TBH I wouldn't bother I think your plan of a sling plus something small is a better idea. We have a Pramette and while it's perfectly OK it was a pain trying to get it up and down stairs to our flat and I never even tried on public transport plus DS hated the pram and we had him in the sling anyway, so I felt we were paying for something we didn't really need.

techno not suitable from newborn at least it wasn't when dd was small - I found it deadful with a little baby tbh slid everywhere.
I loved my baby bjorn carrier for the first 5 mths...
I did a lot of walking though.

Techno is suitable from birth, you use a nice footmuff with it and they now have the headrest in them which stops head rolling about. I love mine and would def use it for a tiny baby but only with comfy liner in it for more padding and cosiness lol
