Practical cross body bag - the holy grail?

I am looking for what appears to be a gap in the market:
A practical, nylon/waterproof (not leather) cross body bag which I can use to carry my tablet, book, water bottle and other sundries. The bag will be thrown on the floor, stepped on, have drinks spilt on it - generally mistreated, so nothing delicate.

All the cross body bags appear to be fashionable leather numbers. All the practical nylon bags appear to be rucksacks.

I have trawled through a dozen threads but not seen anything. I have also googled and amazoned. I have found nothing. I will spend up to £60-70.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions - TIA.

Have you tried searching courier bag? Or are these too big?

Kipling have a few decent ones. I own one myself. I'm ready for a change with a different cross body bag but I haven't found any either.

Fat Face have a few that sound like the sort of thing you're looking for if you don't mind pattern?

I've got one that I'm almost certain fills all your requirements, I got it from debenhams. I'll have a look to see if they still do it.

I have a great, purple, cross body Onya bag, seems to expand to fit whatever I need...

No they don't but they've got similar it's by Nica and it's a coated canvas material that I've the kids have spilt stuff on and it just wipes off.
