Most chemists/supermarkets have it tho many dotn have it on display. they will give it to you if you specifically ask for it.

oh right, not realised was still so readily available. Just end up grabbing the nearest one to hand which is always calpol.

I'd be interested in this one too. Why on earth do you need sugar-free for something that's taken in tiny amounts very infrequently??

I much prefer to avoid aspartame/sweeteners than the odd dose of sugar.

colditz · 22/09/2006 09:38

calpol. Only ask for the one which isn't sugar free.

I know I would much rather they had a bit of sugar than yukky aspartame - which one is present in breastmilk, after all?!

RanToTheHills · 22/09/2006 09:40

oh. Now feeling rather stupid . Had no idea there was a sugary calpol, am I blind?
Tho nurseries etc always have the sugar-free one, don't they? not many seem to give this any thought.

It isn't on the shelves, I didn't know about it until last year. You have to ask for it.

I think most places haven't caught on to the fact that parents don't care how cheap aspartame is, sugar is more natural.

I asked in Tescos and Boots for sugar Calpol, but they said they 'don't do it' - maybe you have to trawl round a couple of chemists to find it?

Stiglet · 22/09/2006 10:25

Our local Boots and Sainsburys sell calpol with sugar

annh · 22/09/2006 11:58

In our local Boots, I have always been asked whether I want sugar-free or with-sugar Calpol.

lilymolly · 22/09/2006 12:21

my dd will ONLY take sugarred Calpol, i asked my chemist to get it- it called the original formulation i think
