Hiya, I need to buy a highchair in the next week or so, but every shop has about 4 and I havent got time to find the best one. Not thinking about money (am only planning to buy one for all future babies) or changing with age really, what do you find the best? Mainly im looking for comfort, safety, quality etc. Thanks!

Another vote for the Ikea Antilop. Make that 2 as I ended up buying 2 for DS and DD.

Mine have hated using the Tripp Trapp at friend's house as they were pretty squashed (with the cushion).

Had a nice wooden East Coast folding one initially but it wasn't as easy to clean as the Antilop and the children slid in the seat.

V. happy with our Svan. (Just adjusted it for the second time to accomodate growing dd, still in perfect condition. Wood but wipes easy peasy.)

We have the Tripp Trapp and love it. DD started using it from 5 months and now uses it as a chair, at 4y5m. Still looks is great condition and it gets daily use. I am also known to use it at the computer at times too Never had any issues with it at all, and the sitting at the table/no tray thing was perfect for us as we always wanted DD to be included in family meals fromt he start.

And the Tripp Trapp does look fab (much more so than the lookalikes). This was important to us as we have always had semi open plan, so the dining table is in the same place as the living room. It had to blend in with our other furniture, and a plastic one certainly wouldn't have!
