*Help! Problem with personalized music cd*

Has anyone had a problem with personalized music cds for children? I bought mine just over a year ago for my baby (then!) at the ideal home exhibition. my baby listened to it a lot but I have not played it for a few months now. when I did, all the tracks have been wiped out and all you can make out is a crackling noise!.I have tried to contact the company via email and phone but am getting no responses at all.I phoned the main company who says it is the distributor who is responsible but will not give me a landline number(the number on the website is a mobile)!Considering I paid £13.99 for the cd that is faulty I think it is unacceptable and unfair. Does any one have any suggestions on what I should do next?

how strange. is it a gold cd? if not I really don't know how that could have happened and think you would have a hard time proving it wasn't something you did tbh.

Is a normal cd.it has never happened before with any other cd with me. This cd was prepared at the show with my baby's name in all the songs. I'd think apart from a faulty cd itself, How would all the tracks just become unplayable?
I'd noticed a few months ago that the first couple of tracks sounded a bit crackly but didin't think too deeply about it

anymore suggestions?
