do any exist - and where can I get them???

DS1 got a PS2 for his birthday from us (ok, ok, ok - actually DH and I bought it for all of us and gave it to DS1 for his birthday ). Anyhow, I think there must be some educational type games available for PS2 - DH thinks not - ..........

sorry QofQ - mine only play uneducational ones

iota · 19/09/2006 09:43

actually I don't think that is really true - any gamr helps hand/eye coordination and ds2 who has just started school can't read but has memorised huge chunks of his Lego Star wars game

what do you mean, like chemistry ps2 games?

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 19/09/2006 09:44

well - not so advanced as chemistry. Just ones that invovle puzzles or games that might help DS1 (who's just turned 6 and just started year 1 - so only Key Stage 1(?)) practice numbers or words or something.........

There were a few PS1 ones, but naff all for the PS2 as far as I know (although agree with iota that a lot of noneducational games can be educational in different ways - reading, logic and instruction following from rpgs for example)

southeastastra · 19/09/2006 09:48

we had a disney one that was quite educational but was for ps1

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 19/09/2006 09:49

hmmm that's what I've been discovering with the aid of google too - loads for PS1 (which we took to Zimbabwe and left there LOL) but not much for PS2 [frown] oh well.......

well PS1 games will play on a PS2 - as will DVDs and I think CDs

foxinsocks · 19/09/2006 09:50

there are some educational games - some of the disney ones - there's even a Bible game (believe it or not!)
