I'm watching one on ebay. It sounds great, but I'd like to have some feedback before I buy.

I have one. I used it form birth to one year old for both my ds's and will use it again when I have another baby someday. I think it is wonderful. They both slept well in it and both got to a point where they new how to bounce themselves in it (sort of by kicking their feet out a little) and would bounce themselves off to sleep. Ds2 was a worse sleeper and we would go in and sit by it and bounce it up and down to get him off to sleep when needed. It takes up so little space comapared to a cot and can be packed up easily for travel. Neither of my two had any problems transeffering into a cot bed from 1 year old.

Hi jabber, I'd really like to buy one too, kept an eye on a couple of threads way back (one here and there's a thread in Sleep at the moment too. I've only read good stuff from mumnsetters so far, those who have them rave about them!

Thanks everyone! I think i'm going to go for it!

how much? (in case i ever sell mine)

jabberwocky · 18/09/2006 05:53

A pretty good deal, actually. $127.50 - I think the dollar is about 50% of the pound these days. I checked completed listings before I bid and some have gone for close to $200.

jabber - unfortunately, the dollar/pound exchange rate is around 1.90 atm. How I wish it was 1.50!

Anyway, hope you enjoy the bed! Did you solve your nanny problems?

jabberwocky · 18/09/2006 06:53

I'm just trying not to think about it at the moment We've all had terrible colds over the past week. But, I do think the best advice was to start looking ASAP, so have added that to my to-do list (big sigh)

Thanks for asking!

127 bucks is a great deal, well done. nerves of steel...

jabberwocky · 18/09/2006 19:28

I waited until the last minute and held my breath that I was going to outbid the previous bidder. A bit sad really that a lot of my heart pounding excitement these days comes from ebay

We used one for DS from birth to 10 months (when he worked out how to turn over in it). It was great. He was cosy and snuggly in it and being able to bounce it was a godsend as he was a terrible sleeper. Though not due to the hammock I'm sure! No real problems going into a cot excpet those experienced by most 10 months old when they've worked out how to stand!

Baby no 2 due in 4/5 months and I'm looking forwrad to using it again. It is compact and light and easy to move around too. No heisitations in recommending it here!
