Taggies - anyone have one? Which one to get?

Have changed my name because the lady I want to buy this for is a MNer and I don't want her to twig.

I want to buy my friend's little boy a Taggie for his Baptism present - but I don't know which to get. I'm torn between the small and large Taggies, the pillow or one of the books. I don't know whether the small one will be too small for him, or the large too big - or if smaller is better for a comforter.

He will be 9 months old by the time of his Christening. Can anyone offer any thoughts?

My DS has the small one and loves it - he has it in the car and in his buggy - he's 2.9, and a complete label fiend.

Thank you - I thought about the small one but then dh thought it would be too young for the baby. The big one is probably not portable enough for a comforter but would be lovely on a cot. I#;m terrible at making decisions!

Mmm - they are all lovely. Good luck making your decision!

I suppose any of them would be nice really. I just want to get it right, he's a lovely little boy, very tactile, and one of them is going to be just right for him. I think I'll go with the smallk one, easy to cart around in a pushchair or snuggle up in his cot with.

Thank you.

they do coppies on ebay for a fiver, i bought 2 different designs because my dd is a labels addict.......
the other offical ones seem a rip off to me,
to answer your question i think the small one is enough as they dont use them to cover themselves they just hold them so the small one is fine and doesnt drag on the floor

I think I'm going to go with the small one - I will have a look on ebay but will probably get a real one as it's for a special present.

Thanks.

Def go with the small one. I bought 2 for my DS, one large and one small. I ended up cutting up the large one into smaller ones because it made him get all sweaty in bed. He likes to rub it on his face and likes the fleece as much as the tags and kept finding him asleep with it over his face and when I took it off, he was dripping. Didnt happen with the smaller one as air could get all round IYSWIM.

He loves his, would def recomend them, they wash really well to. He has loads and I think he loves them most when they have just been washed!

if you want something a little more bespoke, look at these we've got a small one that clips onto a pushchair, they are quite expensive but really cute and soft

ShhhhSheReads · 18/09/2006 11:14

Thank you both. Lucykate, those are stunning. Do they wash and wear well?

I think the taek along taggies are the best. they have new ones with special love notes. they can be clipped anywhere so u dont have to worry about them falling down and getting durty then going stratight back in the mouth...lol
