Got to be done I'm afraid!

Which shop has the best stock of decent warm winter coats. Now DD is out on the playground whatever the weather for 2 hours a day and walking to and from school she needs a proper coat.

has anyone seen any good ones? 4 year old girl!

buy a duffle coat big so it lasts!

Any ideas on where? Have had a look at a few places but there isn't much about at the moment

I've just bought DD's new winter coat, as she's grown out of last years - this one from Vertbaudet. Looks nice and warm. Not completely waterproof, though, not sure if you need that.

Try TK Maxx, I've just bought a Trespass coat (bright pink of course!) for dd1 for £14, should have been £40, they seemed to have loads in at the moment - at least I hope so as dd2 wants one exactly the same, so I'm back there again tomorrow.

It's more of a ski type jacket than a conventional coat though.

Woolworths are doing half price winter coats at the moment - they have them online and instore. I got my half price snowsuit for my (as yet unborn) new baby.

Gap usually do duffel coats, I think? Mothercare had lots of v.boring boys coats but I expect their girls coats are much nicer. And Next have got theirs in too.

Thanks for the ideas - hadn't thought of TKMaxx and liking the idea of a ski type coat given that it has to do all weathers so will be a little more waterproof than some of them.

Better pop into town soon then!
