My 8 month old son is sitting independently but not showing a lot of interest in trying to stand yet. He loves lying around on the floor rolling, but I have got rid of his jumparoo (because he doesnt like to be static) and bouncer (because he doesnt want to lean back anymore) but havent really got the space for a baby walker.. I need something to 'put' him in whilst I nip to make a cup of tea/ bathroom etc because I don't quite trust to leave him sitting up on his own, and if I just leave him rolling around unsupervised he tends to bash his head or get stuck under the sofa!! Ideas welcomed as I don't really know what it is I need to get next!!

Playpen, Invaluable in my house. You get ones with cushioned bottoms and things now too and ours folds up and fits in the car.

It's great he does like being static - but troublesome too!

At that age we got a large travel cot to use as a playpen/baby cage. he was only popped in it when we went to the loo or to make a cup of tea - kept a few toys in there.

this one i think

we could then obviously use it as a travel cot.

the other option for when i needed longer moments was the high chair - strapped in with a high chair toy! Although as often he wouldn't like me being out of sight a few times he was sat in his high chair in the bathroom happily watching me shower.
