My dd needs plimsolls for school but standard ones from Woolies etc cut into her. Does anywhere on the high street do width fittings for these?

Try Clarks as they do Doodle types with velcro and am fairly sure there are different width fittings. DS has wide feet and they are perfect for him.

This is a problem I have. Clarks do the different fittings, I got some from there last year so I went in last week but couldn't get any - the assistant told me they don't really have many in after the start of September. I asked why as childrens feet grow all year round and she just shrugged her shoulders!!

I am going to have to spend Saturday driving to all the different Clarks round here is search of wide fitting black doodles!!

Does anyone know if Start-rite do wide-fitting plimsoles? There's a Start-rite factory shop closer, but they're closed weekends so I can't phone and ask.

I have the same problem, dd has high insteps and can't fit into a normal Plimsoles size 9, but a size 10 is WAY too long for her. The nearest Clarks branch is 17 miles away.

Another tip - when you buy the plimsols, check that they are both the same size! I have just come home and realised that I have bought one 11G and one 11H because I saw the 11H in one and assumed they would be the same

Where did you get 11H? Our Clarks only does up to G width.

Startrite daps don't have width fittings but they do have velcro ones which are way better than the elastic ones for any shape of foot.

B'ham city centre. I think H is the widest they do
