Do I really need to spend more than £100 for an iron?

I do one big pile of ironing a week; mainly shirts, some delicate-ish tops, trousers, etc. It usually takes a couple of hours. I want an iron which will not stick to fabric (as mine has just done and made a big hole in my favourite top - sob!), can cope with heavy creases and just does the job really. Does it really cost £100 for this? And if so, which iron do I buy? Any help gratefully received.

Does anybody know if you can buy a non rubber bath mat? My little one has eczema and very sensitive skin and I don't want to risk him having a reaction to rubber, as his dad is allergic to it.
