Are they the irons that usually cost over £100.00 - have they got them in stock still? I want one.

Not bought one from lidl, but, a while ago I paid a small fortune for a steam generator iron and it was a mistake from day one.

It produced that much team it dripped through the ironing board and making the floor wet, when it was running out of water it cooled down and then when it did run out of water I had to wait for 10 minutes to cool down, fill it up and then wait 10-15 minutes for it to warm back up.

I took it back and got one for 10.00 from ASDA and it is far far better.

trix1 they had a pile of them last Fri in our lidl's and when I looked at them in argos cat they were £100 for the cheapest.

Radley at your experience. Is that any one elses experience too? Or are they generally a good buy?

Ive only heard fantastic things about them, like you get through your ironing in half the time. Never heard a bad word about them only the cost, i wonder does it depend on the brand you have?

ok have bought one from lidls and am impressed. Takes minutes to heat up and apart from having to press button to make steam come out (didn't realise you would have to press button, thought it would be like normal steam iron and just give steam at intervals) its brill.

Only thing is I think I need a different ironing board although the base fits on bracket at end of board I imagine it would fall easily if knocked.

Our lidl had at least 30 of them.

I wonder if all stores are selling them or just selected stores. I really want one and £50.00 is a bargain, what make is it?

oopps sorry only just seen you posted. Its a SGR not a make i've heard of before but there we go.

Where abouts are you? When I looked on the website it didn't come up as a special for my area but they got loads of them

I got one on Saturday the last one in the store and I am really impressed with it, got through my ironing much quicker than usual, great for denims and shirts, I would recommend it.
