Thinking of getting one for 8yo DS and just wanted some opinions :)

That seems awfully expensive for something to put your sandwiches in, but if money isn't a problem and you think your DS will enjoy then go for it. It also seems like a bit of an annoying shape. I'd rather have a rectangle.

Madamecastafiore · 17/07/2014 21:05

It's huge!

Squtternutbaush · 17/07/2014 21:20

I have no idea what to get.

He wants a Sistema slimline quaddie but they don't seem very roomy, he wants something plastic and not a bag because they smell apparently.

Has he seen it and liked it? To me it looks quite babyish so I wouldn't risk it unless he says he likes it

fuzzpig · 17/07/2014 21:29

My DD had a sistema type one and I liked the fact you don't need to worry about having bags/Tupperware/foil etc to keep things separate, as there are lots of compartments

Squtternutbaush · 17/07/2014 21:33

See this is why I ask MN before making purchases, what I think looks cool is generally not :o

Can I ask which one you have Fuzzpig?

We only use a reusable sandwich bag in his lunch plus a Frube (fussy child), biscuit and fruit so along as I can fit that I guess its fi e.

I think it was the sistema slimline quaddie one. Can't be totally sure as we don't have it now (DD been on school dinners for ages) but we got it in debenhams. If it wasn't that brand it was very similar anyway.

Sistema Divided lunchbox here. It just goes into a rucksack or anything else really. That thing looks a bit elaborate

Squtternutbaush · 17/07/2014 21:57

Are they easy enough to clean?

My 8 yo DD just has a green sistema lunchbox, not the quaddie one. She also has a concertina juice bottle and they just go in her backpack.

MrsPnut · 17/07/2014 22:00

one of these

OddFodd · 17/07/2014 22:16

How hard is it? They've got rounded corners, you can rinse them out or scrub them. I shove them in the dishwasher once a week.

Do you work for Kidzpod or something?Hmm

Squtternutbaush · 17/07/2014 23:11

ERM no I've never actually seen a Kidzpod but seen them mentioned on here and wondered if they were any good.

I wondered if the compartmentalised ones were hard to clean because of all the hinges and small bits rather than just a box or bag

Not sure why that would mean I must work for a company I asked about?! Confused
