its rubbish IMO.

get the britax kid.

where is your dad? i have one you can buy off me for £20. am in herts

misdee · 11/09/2006 20:16

oh the highliner even

Bluebear · 11/09/2006 20:16

It scores really poorly in safety tests - so much so that we went and bought ds another (we had won one of the graco ones).

LIZS · 11/09/2006 20:16

Don't think it rated highly safety wise in Which ? but probably no worse than many of similar price. If he could find a Britax HiLiner (around £35 in Tesco a week or two ago) it is a "better" seat.

cece · 11/09/2006 20:17

We have this one and dd has used it since she was 3 and half. Now 5. The cup holders are great! Why is it rubbish?

misdee · 11/09/2006 20:17

£10 more but so much better

Xena · 11/09/2006 20:17

would agree with misdee we had one of these and got rid of it and got the hiliner

misdee · 11/09/2006 20:18

it did really badly in tests cece. in fact IIRC it was amongst that ones that they deemed extremely unsafe and shouldnt be sold.

misdee · 11/09/2006 20:18

i have a highliner for sale. 6months oldbarely used as was in my little car. sold the car so have spare seats.

cece · 11/09/2006 20:25

Surely they shouldn't be allowed to make it or sell it if it were that unsafe

misdee · 11/09/2006 20:26

it meets safety requirment, but which? do a test each year for the best and worst car seats.

nutcracker · 11/09/2006 20:28

We have that one too, simply could not afford a better one.

It can't be that bad else it wouldn't be on sale.

geogteach · 11/09/2006 20:39

Has anyone got the current Which report, what do they recomend for high back boosters? Am thinking of getting another one for when new law comes in. Quite a lot seem to be on special offer at the moment.

threebob · 11/09/2006 20:41

Have told him to hold off. We are not going to the UK until next year so there is no great rush.

Thanks for the offer Misdee, but given the timescale I think you should sell it to someone else.
