I want to take some footage of my daughter so we have some moving images as well as still ones when she growns up. we don't own a digital or video camcorder. i want to store the film on a dvd. does anyone know of an organisation that does films (say an hour's moving footage?) or can recommend a cheap and vvvv simple camcorder for this purpose. thanks

You can hire camcorders -- one site (although I've not used them myself) is hireacamera.com .

Pretty much, yes (IMO). There are generally fiddly things you can do but a fairly straigtforward "point it and press the button" mode too.

have just spoken to them - what a great service, and by the way, you should get commission . having said that, if we decide to get some proper pics of my dd done for xmas, will come to you.
