Don't buy your E3 yet ??

I spoke with my friendly man at the shop near me about the E3 and he asked me when I might be getting one as they are expecting the new E3 in 4 weeks time. Apparently, P & T have made the front seat wider (still same pushchair width) and the second seat easier to put on. The shop said that it will be the same price and they have bought the entire stock (hmmmm) as they are the biggest supplier - Tiny Tinker in Haywards Heath. So.... some places may have the old version E3 cheaper - bargain- or there is the new one. Maybe I am behind the times as I am only a fairly new E3 fanatic and mumsnetter!!!

This sounds like the e3 rather than the Explorer. e3 was new last June so can't believe they've changed it already. Sounds a bit of a sales pitch to me.

Yup, agree there, spoke to Rodney ages ago about this (as this has happened to me before) and he said that he was not expecting them to change anything this year.

How can you tell the difference between the E3 explorer and the E3?? I went to see the one in the shop and it does look like the E3 explorer in the P & T's brochure. Confused!!

Blimey, as the biggest supplier you'd think he'd be up to date
The next big thing to happen will be the car seat adapter which should happen next year.

I was at a baby shop in oliver's battery nr Winchester on Sat where they had 3 explorers on display in their various modes. The very helpful assistant said the rep had just been and they were expecting the new model in May sometime. The improvement she mentioned was brackets to make putting the 2nd seat on easier. This may mean old stock will be discounted soon to make way for the new models. www.practicalpushchairs.co.uk is a very good site and is offering the e3 at £269 for the 2 easter weeks.

P+T have not the new E3 in their website
try www.kiwi-kid.com for E3
If they could make the 2nd seat simpler I would wonder how? Remote control?
Anyways I got my E3 cheaper than that via the US of A!

Kiwisbird , a remote control! If so then Bear will probably have it (sorry Bear, couldn't resist).

I am not familiar with this E3 of which you rave.
I'm looking for a 3 wheeler that can accomodate a buggy board, that fixes in the centre of a horizontal bar at one point, and a tall 3 year old and has a handle bar height of at least 99cm.
Is my quest over?
what do you reckon?

Noodleboo - I owe you an apology - the new E3 has indeed changed to become the E3 version 2 (with an easier to clip on second seat amongst other minor changes).
It seems to be out of stock everywhere except Kiwi kid at the moment (even P + T only have a few of the old style left).

I am E3 obsessed whilst I wait for my new v2 to turn up!

(sorry if you knew this but you said you were unfamiliar with it)

blubear are you getting your new e3 from kiwi kids??? How long did they take to get back to you, it feels like forever to moi. One question once the second seat is on. how do you stear the pram do you use the handle on the second seat and if so does that leave you too far back from the buggy??? Grrr Anyone in Essex own one and would be willing to show me what it looks like????

you can use the normal handlebar to steer with when the second seat is on.

Glad to know that I haven't gone mad and there is a new version out - apparently a little more expensive than the old...still very unsure about whether to get it i.e money but sure I will love it when I do. Just aware that my toddler (20 months) loves to walk and then suddenly needs a sleep so will need something.

New info on the E3V2 on stratford strollers site and on another E3 thread.
