Kindle Daily Deals disappointing

Does anyone else think the Kindle Daily Deals have been rubbish lately? I have not bought one for 3 weeks or more, whereas I used to be getting several a week. So many of them look unappealing, with bad reviews, and you seem to find the same books offered again and again.

Still I suppose I should be glad because it is saving me money, and I can catch up with books I've already good!

They are often shit. I did read 'Sleep Tight' today though, for 99p- it was a great schlocky thriller. What do you like?

Well I'll try most things, as long as they're good. Don't usually go for generic romances or thrillers unless there's something special about them. I quite like Jodi Picoult, also Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine as well as more literary fiction. Also I like ghost stories (but not gory horror) and a lot of scifi and some fantasy. Also non-fiction, esp history. What was 'Sleep Tight' about? (I expect the price has gone up now, though!)

It's still 99p at the moment. I like domestic thrillers (as opposed to big Bourne Ultimatum-type stuff), and this one really delivered. It's not great literature, but a good yarn.

(Deffo lives up to Jodi Picoult etc)

OK I will take a sample and give it a go. Thanks for the recommendation!

They have become quite rubbish recently. They used to be by authors I'd heard of.

You're right, it's either offers that they've had before or books that I don't want. The free top 100 is still worth a browse though, I have a look through that once or twice a week. Meh! This. (I'm usually pretty good at links, honest.)
