Buggy advice for big toddler!

My 2and a half yr old is really BIG. I had a little Cosatto Dixie as the 2nd buggy, but he has outgrown it, his head came right over the top. I bought a Zapp, which is high enough and wide enough but I hate it!! (sorry Zapp lovers...). Maclaren Quest/Techno is a bit too narrow, also don't like little rattly wheels. I've been looking at the M&P Pulse, Britax Vista or Cosatto Olympus, any recommendations?

get him walking?

how tall is he? urban detour 3 wheelers are great for big kids.

Kidstrack · 05/09/2006 20:35

I know the Jane Energy range have wider seats than Maclaren, for long walks when my dd is tired we still use our Maclaren xt, dd is 3.3

phil and teds e3 is really good for tall children

Thanks Misdee, I have an Urban Detour as the 'big' pushchair, and I love it! I just need a small one to fit in my lil car x

britax vista is heavy.

dd2 was really big but just about fitted in a maclaren triupmh till she was 2.5yrs old, then i got a phil and teds as had dd3.

ds is tall and slim, but at almost 3.5 still goes in maclaren quest no problem...

cece · 05/09/2006 20:57

DS is tall and heavy. I just have a cheapy (about £50 from Mothercare) Does the job. He stil;l sleeps in it occasionaly - is 3 next month.

hollys1mum · 07/09/2006 15:59

maybe the micralite? it reclines but is still nice and light?

aitch71 · 07/09/2006 16:12

i have a jane nomad, i believe they are generally wider across the brand. the micralite is incredibly narrow-looking, i think, and doesn't really recline well. it looks nice, though.

hollys1mum · 11/09/2006 12:58

well i have just bought a spider and there is tons of room in it, holly loves it but it is quite expensive?

Gem13 · 11/09/2006 13:03

DS is a big just 4 year old and he can fit in our Micralite when he kicks DD out!

Good, light buggy too

divamummy · 28/09/2006 11:53

Hollys1mum,
How do you find the spider? Have only read negative reports so far?
