Does anyone have one ?
Quite like the look of them, in that they seem simple yet powerful. Fed up with my top of the range but crap Dyson.
We have a lot of stairs, which are carpeted, and mostly wooden floors throughout.

We have one, got one because dh has one in his office building and it copes with that so we figured it would cope with all the dog hair and cat hair in our place.

It's a hoover, so I just can't get excited over it, but is works and hasn't broken.

buy a henry...buy a henry... buy a henry

(four storeys, hard floors and carpets)

actually it was an office cleaner who recommended it, and they know what they're doing I reckon

we have a henry - it's ok, we've had it a few years and it still works, hasn't broken etc.

My bug bear it that it's very hard to store - I'd love an upright hooer which would fit neatly into a cupboard!

Ohhhh how sad - I'm only 25 and I long for an upright hoover! (sigh)

Henry is brilliant on stairs and hard floors, but I find he's crappola on carpets so I have both a Henry and a Dyson upright . The only problem with Henry is that he is quite unruly when it comes to storage.

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 12:40

lol sweetheart. I'm 24 and have both AND somewhere to store them

Cappuccino · 05/09/2006 12:41

yeah henry's tubing can get a bit unruly

but I like him on carpets

NomDePlume · 05/09/2006 12:50

He's OK on the short pile carpets (the ones like seagrass etc), but I have a few fluffy carpets and he is poo on those.

speedymama · 05/09/2006 14:01

I love my Henry and so do my 2yo DTS. I had a Dyson before and will never buy one again. Overrated and overpriced and undercleaned. Henry on the other hand actually cleans the carpets, is easy to manoeuvre and the boys have really bonded with him. They use to scream when I used the Dyson.

Thanks everyone. Generally a thumbs up then !

Had three dysons.
Great at first, lost suction very quickly. Then broke.
Bought Henry two years ago thenks to mumsnet recomendation.
best vacum cleaner I have owned
BUY ONE!

the green Henry has a turbo head attachment which is fantastic on deep pile carpets

Stiglet · 06/09/2006 14:56

I've had a Henry for years and he's served me well! When he goes to vacuum heaven I'll definitely buy another (but I think he may be immortal he's that old!)
