Hippy chick - anyone got one is it worth getting ?

Our 5 mth DS is pretty heavy and I have never found the Baby Bjorn very comfortable probably because he was a big baby & I had a C section. He has just started in the rucksack & enjoys that but if its just me out with him I think it would be a bit of a palaver to get it all sorted out.
So to cut a long story short (ahem) does anyone have a hippy chick and if so what do you think of it ?

Fab - I loved mine.

dd2 was a wee dot of a thing and I used it until she was well turned one.

Dead easy to put on and comfortable for hours of carrying.

Get one!

I do, and like it. I just used today with DS who is a hefty 23 lbs. It is much better than just carry him, but is not for a long walk. Ie. not idea for a whole day out, or a long walk. However, I only have used it with both of my children when they were older than 1. So, I can't comment on how useful they are with young babies... Can he keep hios head up? Mine doesn't have any support for his head, so it would worry me.

I used it for DS1 who was quite heavy and I found it much easier than just carrying him on my hip. Had to stop using it when he was around a year though as I got pregnant again.
Didn't use it so much for DS2 until quite recently (he was 2.7) when he broke his leg and needed carrying around again - really glad I had it then!

Thanks everyone, think I will invest as for long walks we have the ruck sack & the three wheeler, this is more for me when I am out and he gets bored in the buggy, also I feel a bit guilty if I leave him in there for too long.

Lua he can just about support his head, so hopefully we will be ok.

I love mine. used it for ds1, ds2 is just growing into it, but also putting ds1 back on while I push ds2 in the buggy when he gets tired at the end of day trips etc. He's 3 in november!

I've used mine mostly round the house, so I can keep small one close while doing bits and bobs Love it, and it is very handy to pack for short trips where there is no room for buggy etc.
