Squeezy bath toys - spawn of the devil or what?

You know, the toys that go mouldy black inside. Is there a way to clean them, or do I just accept that I should throw them out after 6 months or so??

Chuck em. Not worth the hassle. Horrible things.

Ds2 is going to be gutted if his winnie the pooh bath toys disappear - yet I wince every time he picks them up as I know they are practically black inside.

When I only had one child, I would spend a long time cleaning them in bleach water (suck it up , squish, and squirt out bits of black slime).
Now I refuse to buy them and if they acquire them from any where else I "lose" them.

Might do the bleach thing for winnie toys and bin the others.

Sorry about this, but why oh why are they made though? Surely they are completely pointless - I can't think of a single other toy (other than party bag toys - wash my mouth ) that I would buy expecting to have such a short life expectancy.
