Thinking about a Seat Altea, anyone got one?

After a recent thread has well and truly put me off a Scenic, a kind MNetter suggested a Seat Altea. They look like what looking for. Slight reservation is boot size, was hoping for a boot closer to C-Max in size but can't afford one so this looks like a good option.

Just wondered if anyone had one and if they love it/hate it!

We have a C-Max but the two times we've hired a car in Spain, it's been an Altea XL (so this may not be much help) and we were very happy with it. Didn't drive it massively, but the boot was a good size, nice to drive and kids were perfectly happy with the space in the back.

Thanks, that's good to know!

I got it, altea xl, lovely car, a lot of room, but pay attention to two drawbacks I didn't care when bought:

  • rear seats are 2+1, not 3 seats, so it is very difficult, if not impossible arrange three kid car seats in the rear seats because the middle seat is smaller and the seat belt attacks are too close
  • rear seats air conditioning is not available (in Italy, at least)

so, lovely car and almost perfect, a part rear seats air conditioning, up to 2 kids, very difficult with three kids.

I had an Altea XL as a hire car for a week. It really was a gutless piece of shit. Just horrible.
