I need some recommendations for a decent TV that won't cost the earth and also a new printer.....

Can anyone help?

While we would love an LCD TV, I really don't think it's in our budget. Paid a small fortune for last TV and it's not lasted five years without need for repair (twice), so don't want to be stung again. TBH, I'd rather buy a cheap supermarket one and then if it doesn't go the distance, I won't feel so bad replacing it iyswim. If you've bought a cheap superstore TV and have had it a few years without trouble, I'd like to know, or if you have a known brand that has been no trouble, I'd love to hear your recommendations.

Just need a bog-standard printer that does what it sats on the tin as it were, but not a cheapo Lexmark one which lasts five minutes. Something mid-range I think.

TIA

We have a cheapo goodmans that has been doing us fine for 3 years, the picture quality is not as good as my parents expensive Sony but it was a quarter of the price!!

Thanks smurfgirl.

Have found this one which doesn't seem too bad and I've also had a look in Curry's today and found a Ferguson one similar for £199.

Cheapest LCD in the right size was £398 - Maxim - a make I've never heard of.

Have now bought an HP printer for £50 though and fingers x'd it'll be ok.
