BFC Children's Book Club - anyone used it?

Got the BFC children's book club stuff in the post this morn - you know the type "Any 5 books from only 50p each! And then buy four more books during the year". Does anyone use this book club and what are the pros and cons? I don't want to be saddled with a load of expensive books that I don't want but the offers do look very good. There is no contact phone number for the company which I always find a bit suspect...

I was looking at this as the mailer came today. I think although the joining offer is good, you prob don't save in the long run - p and p is £3 a time so that would add £12 to the 4 books you buy over the year, unless you ordered 4 at once.

If you look on their website you will get an idea of how much they charge normally, and for alot of books it's only a couple of quid off the rrp.

I had one come this morn too and was wondering the same thing

Don't do it. Use the Book People instead. It's a PITA cancelling the editor's choice each month with BFCand then they nag you to rejoin for years afterward you cancel. They even track you down when you move house!!

Don't do it, they are a nightmare. Te joining offers may be good but the subsequent ones are not.

Agree with Soupdragon, the Book People are fab.

I wouldn't bother. But glad it came, as ds1 loves the free stickers
