Vauxhall Meriva - or something else, but what else?!

Looking at changing my very small car for a more spacious one, the Meriva looks good as it has quite a big boot, I have 2 car seats to fit in the back and it looks more spacious than standard hatchback. Also looking at getting automatic due to health issues and they have a 1.7 diesel auto.

Just wondering if anything else would fit the bill? Anyone have anything similar? Or tell me about the Meriva? Thanks.

I swapped from a tiny car just before DS was born and went for an Astra. I absolutely love it, still feels like a smallish car to drive, still looks good and it's really spacious inside. I'm afraid I've never been in a Meriva though so can't offer any comparisons.

I have a meriva and it is v spacious, lots of storage space and pretty comfy.
