We will need to replace our car very soon, and we're a bit stuck as to what to look for.

We need fuel economy as a priority, 2 car seats + enough room for an adult in the back, boot space for pushchair and walker (for elderly parent) or camping kit, but not an estate or similar length as (on street) parking is a nightmare.

Oh, and we're pretty broke! Impossible to achieve?

Any and all suggestions appreciated Grin

Take a look at the Dacia range. In our extended family we now have three as they are such good value. They come with a decent warranty but we've not needed to call on it. Highly recommend.

Thanks for that suggestion-do you know how much room (height) there is in either front or back seats? My DH is tall and can't sit in the back of a Ford galaxy, or any seat in Fiat Multipla!

Also there don't seem to be many coming up on general car supermarket searches. Would I be better looking at a main dealer?

Honda FR-V should fit your needs.

There's a honda fr v at August motors in Salisbury. I looked at it and fell in love but it doesn't have the fuel economy I needed though.

ChangeMyHappy · 14/06/2014 20:24

Honda FR-V also way out of non-existant budget!

Looks like we may be taking the bus for a while Grin

What's the budget?

antimatter · 16/06/2014 10:26

would this honda fr-v be too much?

ChangeMyHappy · 30/06/2014 20:35

Thanks antimatter but 25 mpg is a non-starter.

Also just found out that DH will be looking for work again in October (contract expires-no budget to extend) so the bus it is....for now anyway!

Tanks for the advice though.
