Nissan Qashqai and isofix

Anyone got the 2014 version of this, the latest one, please? Our GP have the previous model and are getting a 2014 one v soon. I ask because the isofix points in their current Qashqai are a complete PITA and are
virtually unusable. We have an extended rear facing isofix car seat
for DS and while it fits in my car and DP's in a jiffy, we cannot get it in the Qashqai. Just wondering if the isofix anchors are still as awkward in the 2014 model?

Our car seat came with a pair of guides - something like these, and we have never had problems getting isofix to latch in DH's qashqai. We've now had 3 seats in there, and not a problem?

I've no idea tbh but I just wanted to say that you're not the only ones having a problem with a qashqai!

DP's and a good friend both have them and it's a nightmare trying to wrestle the car seat in them! I'm convinced their seatbelts are cut shorter than other cars. Drives me bonkers!

addicted - I have some of those guides leftover from our infant carrier. I'll try them. Out of interest, which are the car seats have you fitted with no problems?

Dudess - is it the isofix or seatbelt length that's the problem for your friends?

We've had a M&P, Britax and a concorde.
Maybe we've been lucky with choices tho?
We do need to extend the isofix "leg" as far as they go, clip in, and then retract them. I think the only reason the M&P went OK was it was a seperate base, to be fair. If there had been a seat on top, it would have been awkward.

Good Luck!

We tried with the plastic guides and they definitely helped! We got the seat in, albeit after a long and awkward struggle. It's a two person job due to the force needed to push the seat into place. Thanks for the tip though! :)

My parents have now had their brand new 2014 Qashqai delivered and I'm pleased to report that the isofix anchors are much better, easier to
find etc. Phew!
