isofix in smax

just about to buy an smax but discovered that you can't use an isofix base with a leg because of the under floor storage space.

has anyone any experience of this?

You can use it if the leg will reach the base of the compartment with the lid off. Or you will need to get the compartment fillers from ford to make it safe.

thanks. do you know if the fillers have been safety tested?

I assume so as ford recommends using them in the cars manual. My base reached the bottom of the compartment though so I didn't actually have to use them. Hope that helps!
