My friend says there is a perspex shield type thing you can put in front of the dvd player and sky box and all that gubbins to stop the baby getting at it and breaking it.

I have tried searching on internet but cant find. Anyone know of such a thing?

HA HA!!!! Just had the same problem. We just plonked them both on top of the TV, making sure not block any air vents!

Is this what you mean?

We used to have one for the tv controls but you should be able to put them in front of the dvd etc too.

When DS1 was little (he was our button pusher) we had one of those horrible TV cabinets that you get free with the telly (OK we've still got it but it's next on the list to be replaced ), it's got a glass door on the front that operates with a magnet, you push the glass and it opens, push it again and it closes. DH made the magnet thing so that it would only close and you needed a hook (made of wire and kept on a high shelf) to open the cabinet. Bit extreme but it worked.

When DS was about 13-14 mo he loved turning the TV on & off - we used one of those transparent stand-up photo frames, put the long bit under the tv & the short bit covered the on/off switch - but the remote still worked
