we have a Kenwood one something like [rummages] this , which I like because the processor and the blender use the same base so it's not so big to store.

Not sure if the bowl capacity would be big enough for you though?

i've got a magimix

great, sturdy and comes with grater discs etc...

Never thought I needed a food processor until I was in John Lewis one day and they had all the demonstrators in. Was completely swayed only by the Magimix lady. I love it. Use it a lot (though only because I keep on the counter - I wouldn't bother if it was in a box!) They do a large version. Expensive, but worth it.
