Where can I find a silver locket?

I'm trying to buy a silver locket for my 10-year-old goddaughter, something quite small and tasteful enough for her to wear now and in years to come.

Can anyone advise on where I can find one? The only place I've found that has them is Argos - it has loads, and they're all vile. I'm willing to spend up to fifty quid.

Thanks!

I'd recommend Ernst Jones - they do some gorgeous silver jewellery and its not over priced either.

Plain round locket - or is that too simple? Chain would be extra by the looks.

Is that the sort of thing you're after?

That gorgeous and you could have it engraved so its more personal

Oh, that's REALLY nice, Ursula. I like that a lot. (You don't think goddaughter would prefer it engraved with teddy bears or something, do you? If so, tough ) And thanks so much for the Ernest Jones tip, CountTo10, I'll take a look.

I knew Mumsnetters would have the answer . Thanks again.

I think something plain and classic is much better as its something she'll be able to keep for life and pass on to her own kids etc

I wasn't even looking for a locket but I just have to order that one now

They've got 5 pages of lockets in different shapes - plain oval ones are lovely too...decisions, decisions!

The heart ones in your link are lovely ursula. Some Celtic ones?

The Strathblane is quite nice, JackieNo (brilliant name!), but my vote is still with Ursula's plain round, or maybe a plain oval...

SO great not to have to resort to Argos. (You should check them out sometime if you want a laugh - they've all got things like 'I love you mum' or kissing teddies on them..)
