Hi,

Another pushchair question I am afraid.
At the moment I am using a 3 wheel one which I bought second hand from ebay, it is great except from ds is now 'too long' for it! He is only 19 months so I don't want to give up my pushchair yet! I have never bought a new pushchair and don't know about which ages they are suitable for etc.
I have got a small maclaren umbrella stroller which I also bought on ebay second hand, but it is 21 years old and I don't think it will last the winter!
Can anyone suggest a style of pushchair I can buy? Looking to spend upto £40-£50.
Have been browsing ebay this morning but feel that I should go out and look at some!

how tall is he? dd2 at a year old was the size of her 3yr old sister, we used a maclaren triumph.

I love my Nipper 3 wheeler. DS is very tall and can still sit in confortably at 4!

I also have a Micralite which I love for both children. DS can also sit in this if he's tired.

Do not buy from Mamas & Papas - MacClaren are the best so my friends tell me when I am having to the the 3rd M&P one back!!

Other than their products being crap their customer service is second to none on the shit end of the scale - basically its not their fault - what they say goes and lump it!!

He was 102cm at his last visit to clinic at 18m. Not sure how tall he is now. Was thinking of trying mothercare but have no idea on prices, I just thought a pushchair was a pushchair lol!

twinkie - mamas and papas seems soooo expensive to me anyway! you would think they would be good. I have never even entered one of their shops but have seen them online.
I love my maclaren umberella stroller but it is geeting tatty and wheels will not last forever! I will be sad to part from it lol.

misdee - the maclaren triumph looks ok, I think I may pop into mothercare tomorrow to get an idea of sizes.

Which are the best retailers for a pushchair?

Kiddicare are excellent for most products, but agree you should ideally try your DS out in a few buggies first, and then buy online if you can get it cheaper!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 25/08/2006 15:01

Think I will do that cerys. Am going into the City tomorrow so will have a browse to get an idea.

candelite76 · 25/08/2006 23:33

will u be selling it at all can i ask

mumfor1standfinaltime · 27/08/2006 15:10

Cerys - It is the sripey one from the early 8o's it has a sticker on it - I think it says 1983, cant be bothered to check as its in the car. It is blue and white. The wheels are in excellent condition and hardly worn! Only cost me £6 lol! Are you a maclaren fancier?!

I went to boots and mothercare to look at pushchairs, but I have decided to stick with my 'ole faithful' maclaren for now! Seems pointless to buy a new one now at 19 months. Oh I don't know!
