Yes my boys have ones from tkmaxx. They always have some and we pay about £12-15.

Surf branded rucksacks for this. Dd currently has a eastpak one.

Nocomet · 28/04/2014 08:12

Surf brand if it needs to be cool, mountain life or similar outdoor shop if they arn´t bothered.

DD1 has had the same mountain life one Y7-Y11.

Cheap bags, do not survive.

Jansport every time. I had one that lasted 2 years of college, 3 years of daily use at uni, several long weekends round Europe, Glastonbury and Leeds and then carting my gym stuff around. Had it for 11 years and had to get rid cos the zip bust :( they are sturdy to say the least.

Animal backpacks say on the label what they're meant to fit in (A4 folder, laptop, etc).

When I was at school we all had bags from sports brands - Umbro, Fila and so on - are they not the in thing any more?

BertieBotts · 28/04/2014 08:23

I've got an Eastpak that has lasted me 10 years and still looks as good as new!

5madthings · 28/04/2014 08:33

Jansport or eastpak are good and you can get them cheap at tkmaxx.
