No experience but found this on the BBC website. It has a link to the Patent website on it

thanks for that NAAM, i've been into the patent site i'm just too lazy to read it all . Probably too lazy to get this idea off the ground too but you never know.

Whatever it is I'd say go for it. I once read about the person who invented the drinks can ring-pull that bends back (remember the old one that you had to pull off and throw away? If not then you're younger than me ) They get royalties every time anyone makes a can - imagine that!

geekgrrl · 25/08/2006 13:34

dh has. it was a very lengthy process (3 years I think) and cost £20,000 in total.
found out right at the end that someone else had come up with the idea a couple of months before dh.
(and it's an obsolete idea now - it was an instant compression code for web pages - in the broadband age it's not needed)

DelGirl · 25/08/2006 14:03

it'll take a little research then. I'd be surprised if someone hasn't had the same idea as me but it's not out there as far as I can tell so maybe not. Need to set aside a few hours me thinks. How gutting for your dh GG all that time, effort and money.
