Global Bedside Cots

Hi, I'd really like to buy a Global Bedside Cot but they've stopped making them now and I was wondering if anyone knows of either someone who is selling a used one or if there is a shop out there still selling them. Any info would be welcomed.

Many thanks, Nicola.

Hi...i had one for my dd, and searched high and low at the beginning of the year for another for my son, but couldn't find one anywhere. The company has apparently gone bust, but may be trading under a different name. I think Mamas and Papas do a cot, or someone else, maybe East Coast, called Olivia which is also a bedside cot. Hope this helps

louloubelle · 24/08/2006 15:02

just read a post further down and it is Cosatto who make the Olivia

We have a Brio one - is that the same thing? I bought mine through Friday Ad and it was sent from Norfolk.

I still need mine, sorry, but it might be worth doing a search on ebay.

MrsBadger · 24/08/2006 15:19

I agree the Global is much the nicest (not keen on the curly Olivia one) but nowhere seems to sell it anymore.
Definitely worth scouring Ebay - there's actually a Global on at the moment if you live in London, a Brio like Gem's, and also one of the ones that JojoMamanBebe used to do which is rather nice too.

MrsFogi · 24/08/2006 18:10

I had this problem when I was expecting dd - I dearly wanted one of these but Global had gone bust. I ended up buying one from another mumsnetter - hopefully you'll find one this way or via ebay as they are brilliant.

MrsFogi · 24/08/2006 18:11

btw, if you get one it is still possible to buy the matresses that fit them so that takes the worry out of buying a second hand cot - I think they're called Rockingham matresses (I got mine on blooming marvellous or jojomamanbebe's site)

FWIW, I've just looked at the Global one on Ebay and it looks identical to the Brio one we had for dd

magicfarawaytree · 24/08/2006 18:15

I am selling my global cot we have had it about a year. it is in very good condition - dd sleeps in our bed, actually they all do. I am just about to put it on ebay dont know if that is any help.

magicfarawaytree · 24/08/2006 18:16

btw i loved it we had two mama and papas cotbed not very pracical at all. we use it as a daybed at the moment when dd has a nap during the day.

Thanks for your responses everyone. Most helpful. Like yourself, Mrs Fogi, it looks like I might be in luck via a fellow mumsnetter...fingers crossed
