Is Brita filter kettle the best choice?

Could you pls help me?

I need to buy a new kettle and was wondering which is the best choice at the moment.

I read about the Brita-type filter kettle. Due to the monthly replacement, it seems rather expensive. However, is it the best choice if you want to have clean water and less hassle in cleaning the kettle?

I have had mine for years and am very happy with it. No more unsightly muck floating in my tea! It looks stylish (mine has a blue light that goes on when being switched on) but it is a bit heavy (I don't mind but DH has mentioned it). Filters are best value when bought in a year package (12 cartridges).
