My DS (age 4) has to wear an orthotic splint on his left foot so has to have one shoe about 1 size bigger than the other. When we bought his last shoes Clarkes only charged us 25% more to take away 2 different size shoes.
Apparently now they have changed their policy and you have to buy two pairs (which I can kind of understand so this is not a dig at Clarkes).
Thing is, there's an outside chance that these two useless shoes we'll end up with could be of use to someone else.
He's about a size 10.5 or 11 so we'll have a left shoe in about that size and a right shoe in about a 12 going. Being measured up for a new splint tomorrow (and they might decide to go back to orthotic shoes which means I have to buy NO shoes!).
Argh - school shoes are going to cost me £70 and that's before I've bought some for non-school use too!
