Mothercare Urban Extreme travel system or not?

I love the look and feel of the Urban Extreme series, and they seem to fold up well, and they come with a lot of stuff. I want pneumatic tyres to go off road occasionally when I'm out with the dog, and it's in the top 10 on Mumsnet. Is it too good to be true or is it a really good system?

I've got the pushchair alone (not the car seat) but that was in the sale and came with waterproof, excellent cosytoes and a rubbish change bag. All in all I think it's great, bit heavy to lump in and out of the car but wonderful to walk a couple of miles with and pretty good around shops, etc too.
I'm no expert but I've been happy with it for no2 baby over the last few months. Also we've been able to put a buggy board on it for ds which I didn't think I could do so extra happy with that.

Sounds good. What's up with the change bag?

The change bag was very simple, and very poor, has been given to a charity shop, the changemat that came with it was good but bag was rubbish, can't have it all. Although I think the change bags are different depending on what colour travel system/pushchair you get. Ours was the black with red stripe one bought in Jan this year, don't do it anymore.

Hi! I am currently expecting our 3rd child in Jan 07. We have a Mothercare Urban Detour Extreme travel system purchased in 2004. As our middle child will only be 2 I would like to use a "buggy board" to get around. I have tried the "Lascal" buggy board and although it fits, my son cannot stand up comfortably due to the pushchairs handle bar . Can anyone advise if there are any other suitable models...many thanks.

my cousin had the sherpa, and has been very pleased with it, although she hates the bag as well!. I never really go off road, so had a lightweight inglesina from the start, so i haven't personally used them - working for m/c, we very rarely get them back, so this must be a good thing , i think the onyx is on offer right now!
