Anyone had problems with Viners saucepans burning

I've had a Viners set of saucepans for a few months but find that when I'm browing off meat for stews, bolognese etc that it seems to catch on the bottom of the pan and the whole pan ends of black.

Today I used a different saucepan to brown the onions and the same thing happened.

I've contacted Viners who have never heard of such a problem and have asked for the saucepan to be sent to them so they can test it.

Has anyone else had problems like this or am I the only one?

Could it be the pan is getting too hot and you need to adjust the hob setting from the one you used for your previous pans as hte heat may conduct differently. What sort of hob is it and are the pans compatible with it ?

No experience of their pans but it doesn't surprise me I'm afraid. Dealt with them in the past and had all sorts of QC problems.

I commented to Viners that I'd never had this sort of problem with my previous pans and that I'd done this receipe many times before.

I thought Viners were meant to be quite good.

When I fried the onions the gas was on a medium heat.

my dh was cooking one night and our viners saute pan got well and truly burnt!!ive tried everything to get the black off,but its just not budging!think it might be a combination of dh's cooking skills and the pan!!
